The Woods at Cedar Springs Louisville, Kentucky

Today I will tell you about a newer venue option, The Woods at Cedar Springs in Louisville, Kentucky. I truly believe this venue can fit any aesthetic because it is that versatile. This venue does check off many of the must-haves in a wedding venue, so let’s dig in!

The Woods at Cedar Springs

Highlights: 10,000 Sq. Ft Grand Hall, 2,700 Sq.Ft Loft Above Grand Hall, Indoor/Outdoor Ceremony Options, Located on 60 Acres, Covered Patio, 2 Bridal Suites, Industrial Kitchen, Access to All Amenities and Features at your Disposal for the Entire Day at No Additional Charge

No detail went overlooked when The Woods at Cedar Springs was designed. From the front entrance to the back edge of the property is impressive. I remember when I first drove through the property I kept saying, “Oh my gosh I love it!” and then I made it to the Grand Hall and I had to pick my jaw up from the ground. The first thing you will see is the massive doors and water fountain. My couples have opted to drap the fountain with fresh flowers and let me tell you, it’s a chef-kiss choice! Lastly, the grounds are well-groomed, and seasonal flowers are placed intentionally throughout. This plays a big factor in location spots for your wedding photos!

If you have read any of my other venue reviews you will know I am BIG on getting ready spaces being available for both sides of the bridal party. At The Woods at Cedar Springs, you get two bridal suites and they are huge my friend. I love the design of both as one being more feminine and the other masculine.

For ceremony spaces, you have two outdoor options, The Garden and The Woods. Both are just a short walk from The Grand Hall but both have long aisles which I give two thumbs up to. A design option that I have been impressed with at The Garden is draping fabric from the arches. If mother nature isn’t on our side for your wedding you can be married inside with 30’ peak ceilings and 6’ Edison chandeliers that hang above. Not a bad backup option right?!

The walls inside are grey-washed barn wood making the space versatile for your vibe. This is important because the designed of the venue itself isn’t going to look dated in your wedding album in 5, 10, or 20 years. If all your photos need to take place indoors because of weather that would be 100% okay because it is beautiful. Another favorite feature is The Loft. As a photographer, this space elevates the different perspectives I can achieve, literally. During a couples first dance or when the whole crowd is on the dance floor I can walk up to get a birds-eye view of the moment. This isn’t something you can get at any wedding venue.

“But Emily, tell me what golden hour looks like there.” Alright alright! The sun will set facing the property so your photographer will have the option of having you front-lit or backlit. You might not have any idea what that means but just know that is a good thing. Your photographer will have options so it can match whatever editing style they are known for during golden hour. The area is surrounded by tall trees so I would start your golden hour photos to take place the first half of golden hour.

If you want an elevated experience and the ability to make a venue match your wedding dreams then you need to visit The Woods at Cedar Springs!
